Under clause 3 of Police Pension
Regulations of 17th. March, 1896, he is entitled to a
gratuity of 1 month's average pay of last 3 years for
each complete year's service-in this case $296.50.
But it may be that this man is en-
titled to pension under clause 13.

I heard myself that Sergeant Keen
had got hurt on the Canton Wharf and I visited him in
Hospital more than once. I think a reference should be
made to Dr. Atkinson who attended him and took much
interest in his case.
He will probably recollect the facts .
